ADMISSIONS TRAINING AWARDS

The QUEEN MARY'S TECHNICAL INSTITUTE was founded by Lady Marie Willingdon wife of the then Governor of Bombay Province on 16 May 1917 at Bombay. Institute was later shifted in 1923 to a better and spacious location (17.31 Acres) at Kirkee - Pune.
The Institute trains Disabled Ex - Servicemen those rendered unfit for Service in the Armed Forces due to medical reasons and those in Service who are under prolonged Medical Treatment for severe disability in befitting vocational tades. Later help is rendered to them in their rehabilitation. Due to inadequate number of above categories of trainees during peace time, admission is also given to the dependents of Servicemen/Ex-Servicemen, in that priority, to utilise full quota of vacancies. This is the only institute of its kind in our Country today.
